You still spend hours answering the same questions, chasing people who go quiet, and dealing with no-shows or incomplete bookings. Those enquiries aren’t qualified leads, they’re unfiltered traffic. GDT adds the structure behind your programmes with screening, verification, bookings, payments, and communication, so you spend less time on administration and more time delivering great experiences.
Not at all. Your programme, your name, and your way of hosting remain yours. GDT supports you with applications, bookings, payments, verification, and administration, while you stay in control of the experience and every relationship you build.
Every host and every traveler verifies their identity once, using Aadhaar for Indian nationals or a passport for foreign nationals. It only takes a few minutes, and once completed, you know you’re dealing with a real, verified person. Identity verification confirms who someone is, it isn’t an endorsement of their character or suitability, and we make that distinction clear.
Only if you choose to. GDT Care has no exclusivity requirements. For GDT Marketplace, you choose how much of your inventory to route through GDT. Higher commitment qualifies for lower commission rates, while non-exclusive options remain available, so you’re always in control.
Good, bring them. Your existing audience can book or apply through your GDT link, which means they go through the same screening and payment structure as everyone else. Several hosts use us as their back office first and their discovery channel second.
We only collect the information needed to verify your identity, manage your account, and operate the platform, nothing more. Your data is handled in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws, we never sell it, and you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. Our Privacy Policy is written in plain language, so it’s easy to understand what we collect and why.
Yes, and it’s one account. Verify once, and you can run volunteer programmes and paid experiences side by side. Your reviews and reputation build across both rather than starting from zero on each.
Nothing right now. Founding hosts get GDT Care free — and if you host well, free stays free. Our paid tier will be ₹1,999 a year; founding hosts who meet the quality marks keep everything at no cost, for life.
How quickly you respond to applications, how you’re rated by travellers and volunteers, how you rate them, and how often you cancel. Nothing exotic—it’s simply a reflection of a host who consistently does the basics well. The specifics are clearly outlined in your Host Agreement, so you’ll always know what’s expected.
You set the screening. Before anyone can apply to your program, they answer questions you’ve chosen like, certifications, physical demands, availability, whatever genuinely matters for your work. If they don’t clear it, they never reach you. What lands in your inbox has already passed your own filter.
No. If you choose to offer an allowance toward their personal expenses you can, and you declare the amount and how often in your listing. It’s entirely your call, and it’s an allowance — not wages, not employment.
It’s a fair question and we’ve built for it. The arrangement is expressly a voluntary, non-monetary contribution; no wages, no employment relationship, and both sides acknowledge that in writing when they join. Our guidance is that what you ask for should be proportionate to what you provide, and never a substitute for a job you’d otherwise pay someone to do.
You’re responsible for safety on your premises and in your program, as you would be with anyone visiting. Volunteers acknowledge the risks of the work, confirm their own fitness, and are told clearly to carry their own travel and medical insurance. You disclose the real demands and hazards in your listing, so nobody arrives surprised.
Yes. Duration, batches, what’s included, what volunteers bring, house rules, or minimum stay everything stays yours. You can run one listing with many batches across the year rather than rebuilding it each season.
Standard includes one programme listing with unlimited batches. Premium includes unlimited programme listings, each with unlimited batches. Founding Hosts receive GDT Care Premium at no cost, giving them unlimited programme listings and batches from day one, with benefits extendable for life, subject to the GDT Care Host Agreement.
Within 72 hours. It sounds strict, but it’s the promise that makes the whole thing work. Volunteers plan travel around your answer. We remind you before the clock runs out, while repeated silence affects your standing.
Raise it with us and we’ll look into it. You can ask a confirmed volunteer for identity, travel or permit documents before they arrive, and if something’s genuinely wrong, the placement can be cancelled, routed through us so it’s handled neutrally rather than becoming a fight. We’ll help you fill the slot.
By hosting well. Every completed program earns you reviews, and those reviews are attached to you permanently, they follow you into the Marketplace too. Hosts who start early accumulate a reputation that later arrivals can’t simply buy.
