About the program
Join RoamVista in protecting India’s fragile marine ecosystems through a hands-on coastal conservation experience. Work alongside marine conservation experts to monitor coral reef health, collect water quality data, document marine biodiversity, and participate in beach and underwater cleanup initiatives. This program is designed for passionate volunteers who want to make a measurable environmental impact while learning practical conservation techniques. Whether you’re a student, nature enthusiast, or aspiring marine biologist, you’ll gain real-world field experience, develop valuable research skills, and contribute to preserving our oceans for future generations—all while experiencing the beauty of India’s tropical coastline.
7:30 AM – Briefing on the day's survey site and objectives
8:00 AM – Boat/shore transfer to the monitoring site
8:30–11:30 AM – Coral reef monitoring, water sampling fieldwork and/or marine biodiversity observation
12:00 PM – Return to base. Have lunch (local Andaman cuisine)
1:00–3:00 PM - Water quality testing, sample recording, beach cleanup or awareness activities
3:30 PM- Data entry, team discussion and conservation workshop
4:30 PM - Free time: beach, local exploration or rest
8:00 PM - Dinner and cultural exchange with fellow volunteers
Prepare for the next day's activities and rest
Monitor coral reef health using standard observation methods.
Assist with underwater biodiversity surveys.
Collect and record water quality samples. Measure pH, salinity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen.
Record marine species sightings.
Participate in beach and coastal clean-up drives.
Maintain field notebooks and digital data records.
Support community awareness sessions with local fishing families.
Help document findings through photos and field reports for sanctuary records.
